EPDM RUBBERBOND - Flat Roofing Problems Permanently Solved

Rubberbond fleeceBack EPDM roofing system for flat,
built up flat roofs and low sloped roofs.

Some people just don't like the idea of felt flat roofs, so here is a product with a greater life expectancy. The product we use is Rubberbond made by Carisle-Syntec USA. They have been making EPDM roofing membranes for 50 years. This product is a rubber membrane sheet that comes in 3 x 15 meter and 1.5 x 12 meter rolls. It has a fleece attached to the back of the membrane for extra strength and is designed for heavy usage such as roof patio areas and can be overlaid with a variety of durable finishes such as paving and decking.

  • Cold applied adhesives (no heat or naked flame).
  • The fastest, easiest and best looking system to install.
  • Flexible (will not tear, split or crack).
  • Resistant to ozone and extremes of climate.
  • Tough enough to walk on.
  • Environmentally friendly.
  • Expected to last 50 years.
  • Up to 20 year guarantee with conditions.
  • Moss and fungus resistant.

Can be applied directly onto the deck (cold roof) or for better results should be used with the (warm roof) system were the vapour control layer is layered on to the deck, then the insulation, then the FleeceBack 2.54mm rubberbond sheet.

This product has the (BBA) British Board of Agrement certificate.

The History of RubberBond FleeceBack

RUBBERBOND FleeceBack, manufactured by Carlisle-Syntec USA, who pioneered EPDM roofing membranes some 50 years ago, has established a record of superior product durability and long-term weather resistance.

The greatest test of any construction material is how it performs under field conditions. The first membranes laid in the 1960s are still protecting flat roofs, some 40 years later with over one billion square metres installed worldwide on Commercial and Industrial buildings including Offices, Schools and Hotels.

Durability assessments of roofing membranes found EPDM as the only membrane with no reduction in flexural fatigue resistance for all tests/locations. It would take over 50 years for EPDM to drop below 200% elongation (the MRCA ME-20 performance requirements for aged sheeting).

One of the most unique attributes of RUBBERBOND FleeceBack is its ability to handle future roof alterations, which is unparalleled in the roofing industry. Unlike other roofing systems that degrade or become brittle over time, RubberBond membrane maintains it's integrity and flexibility allowing future modifications to be made with ease.

RubberBond FleeceBack does not require any systematic maintenance
to achieve its life expectancy
